Fashion Tip Thursday: Chambray Top!
Last week we talked about nude shoes as a closet staple, another of my must-haves is a simple chambray top! A good chambray top should be in your closet like yesterday because it is SO versatile and unbelievable cute. There are many different ways to wear your chambray top AND they are wearable across seasons! Check out my some of my favorites below!
6 Ways to Chambray!
My favorite way to wear the chambray top is also the most simple…like a cover-up! This LuLaRoe Lucy and LuLaRoe Irma are great as is, but adding my favorite lightweight denim layer is great for chilly fall nights and a little extra style! Here is it also paired with a fun hat from Target and a gorgeous boho feather necklace from Silpada (who sadly went out of business).
My newly discovered way to wear the chambray top is as a bottom layer – genius!!! It looks fabulous under a dress or a cardigan.
Here I am wearing it underneath my solid black LuLaRoe Nicole with the my Butterfly Twists, a pair of fun pony hair loafers (yes, white after labor day – try it!). The best part? I didn’t have to upsize my Nicole to wear this look together!
How much do you love the same trusty chambray tucked into a leopard print LuLaRoe Cassie skirt with a LuLaRoe Sarah cardigan as the final layer!? This cardigan is my GO TO for a pop of color. I love it so much with this top underneath it that I may just never take the two off!
Next, tie it up!!! You can do this two ways and both will look great! The first is unbottoned and tied at the waist. Here I am wearing it over a LuLaRoe Carly dress with my trusty nude wedges. I LOVE how it cinches and accentuates my the waist! The second is with a LuLaRoe Cassie (pencil) skirt. The Cassie is probably my favorite skirt ever. It is beyond comfortable, can be worn in multiple sizes, and does wonders for every body shape. My chambray is simply buttoned up (most of the way) and tied at the waist overtop the skirt. I paired it with a pair of pointed toe red suede flats I purchased from Modcloth. LOVE!!!
DRUMROLL!!!! Finally, button that baby up and tuck it into any highwaisted skirt. I chose to wear it with LuLaRoe’s full skirt the Madison. I personally love the functionality of this skirt – POCKETS!!! It is a great go to skirt for a Mom like me that wants to be comfortable, fashionable, and have a bit of practicality in my daily clothing closet! I accessorized this look with a pair of tie-up booties, a wool hat from Target, and a chunky Silpada necklace.
